John and Tiffany Matthews are the Senior Leaders of The Gate Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, and trusted voices to pastors and ministry leaders across the nation. For nearly a decade, they have stewarded a move of God marked by healing, restoration, and revival—an outpouring that began in 2022 and continues to impact the Charlotte region today.
As itinerant ministers and apostolic voices, John and Tiffany carry a deep passion for building healthy leaders and healthy churches. Over the years they have coached, counseled, and mentored pastors, helping them navigate culture-shaping vision, emotionally healthy leadership, ministry burnout, team dynamics, and the complexities of modern church life.
Their message is marked by power, love, and a sound mind—and their mission is simple: to strengthen leaders so they can build environments where the presence of God transforms people, cities, and generations.

This Is Why We Do What We Do
Myself and my husband had been through over 14 years of spiritual abuse within a church that we were then asked to lead out of the trauma of the past. We came to Tiffany and John as broken vessels, not knowing which way was up and which was down. We were in serious emotional pain, not knowing what cultures were healthy and what ones were unhealthy and not knowing ourselves or trusting our intuition and thought patterns. We meet with Tiffany and John about once a month and through their support, guidance, care and insight and wisdom which can only be described as heaven’s revelation, we have been able to step out of old, toxic cultures and ways of thinking and step into healing which has not only impacted us individually but has had ripples into our marriage, family and church. The combination of genuine empathy, high level skill and deep understanding of emotional health and sound mind make this such a safe space to go on the journey of being transformed as a leader.
